Key Acheivements

Over the past four years, IRROG has driven this remarkable increase by building strong research partnerships, expanding the number of clinical trials open across the country, and actively supporting radiotherapy teams in trial activation and delivery. The group has worked closely with international collaborators to open high-quality studies in Ireland, ensuring patients have access to cutting-edge treatment options.

Home-Grown Trials

IRROG has also supported a significant rise in the number of investigator-initiated clinical trials across multiple disease sites, strengthening the role of Irish-led research in radiation oncology. By empowering clinicians and researchers to design and lead their own studies, IRROG has helped generate innovative, home-grown trials that address the specific needs of Irish patients.
